Bank stabilization is necessary around the lake when the water washes against the bank and causes erosion. When this happens, our lake committee brings in truck loads of rock that is unloaded and placed along the needed area. A bobcat loader puts the rock in place, then topsoil is spread to keep the rocks in place, and grass is planted to bring the original look back. In April, 330 feet on the east side of the lake got a much needed face lift that looks so much better. (Click for more pictures)

Lake maintenance is an ongoing project. The spillway is a constant source of debris that collects around the area. After the heavy rains that we have had lately, limbs, logs, and moss gather and cannot flow over the spillway and down to the creek.
Our lake community hosted a membership progressive dinner on December 28, 2013. Six homes were filled with the holiday spirit as 20+ people enjoyed a different meal course with each stop. Some members met their neighbors for the first time, while others renewed friendships with each other. Thanks to Casey and Allen Draughon, Tim Hendrickson, Angie Potts, Jamie and Tim Grubbs, Pam and Eddie Gibson, Pat and Phillip Gilbertson, Carolyn Smith, and Pam and Scott Tarpley for providing everyone with good food in their beautiful homes for all of us to share.
